There are literally 100s of walks and hikes around Hautes-Pyrénées waiting to be explored including over 30 long distance hiking trails.
We know it’s hard to pick one, we’ll do our best to help you chose!
Here are a few to wet the appetite …
A short (4km) but steep (25 – 33%) climb to the top of Pic du Montaigu! Spectacular views make the effort worth it.
A fabulous walk through the ever changing landscape of forests, goat trails, past waterfalls and rope bridges to the beautiful mountain Lac Bleu at 2000m.
Another lake (of which there are very many in the mountains) another walk! This time the meandering paths up to Lac de Peyrelades.
The mighty Pic du Midi, with it’s iconic weather station visible from many of the walks in the area, is a walk in it’s own right. The weather station has cable car access, a precipitous experience in it’s own right, although the walk is easily accessible with breathtaking views as you climb to the highest point in the French Pyrenees.
